A site, a brand, and email that actually goes out.
Custom-built sites, real brand identities, and email that goes out on its own — for salons, cafés, makers, trades and consultants. A fraction of what an agency charges, without the meetings about meetings.
Built for the businesses agency budgets don't reach.
Not a Wix template you rent and maintain yourself. I build it, host it and look after it for you, with nothing to sign that locks you in. Just the things that bring customers in and keep them coming back. Wondering whether to use an agency instead?
01 — Website
A custom site, fully managed
Custom-built, mobile-first, fast — not another Wix template that looks like every other small business site. Includes a contact form or booking link, a custom blog if you want one, and a recruitment page if you're hiring.
One-page or full multi-section site
Custom blog, team profiles, booking links
Recruitment page & CV / application forms
Hosted & maintained by me — no mandatory monthly fee
AI-ready as standard — built to be found by ChatGPT, Gemini & Copilot, not just Google
02 — Branding
A brand that fits the door
A real logo, real colours, real typography — designed once, used everywhere. The same identity on your shopfront, your inbox, your Instagram and your receipts. Especially good if you're relaunching or starting fresh.
Logo design — wordmark, monogram or mark
Colour palette & type system
One-page brand style sheet you can hand to anyone
Print-ready files for signage, cards & menus
03 — Email
Email that goes out on its own
A welcome sequence for new customers, a monthly newsletter, re-engagement for the ones who've gone quiet — all written in your voice and set up to run without you. Works with whatever tool you already have (or I'll pick one).
Welcome sequence for new customers
Monthly newsletters & updates
Re-engagement for lapsed customers
Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Brevo & more
04 — Local SEO
Found by the person walking past
If you live or die by "[your service] near me" searches, I'll get your Google Business Profile sorted, your on-page SEO tidy, and your business listed in the places that drive bookings. It's set up once as a solid foundation, with a bit of light upkeep after — not a retainer you can't get out of.
Google Business Profile setup & optimisation
On-page SEO — titles, meta, headings, schema
Local listings — Yell, Bing Places, Apple Maps
Strong foundation + honest upkeep — no twelve-month lock-in
05 — Domain & pro email
No more sending from Gmail
A custom domain and a matching professional email address (hello@yourbusiness.co.uk) take an hour to set up and make a real difference to how professional you look. SPF, DKIM and DMARC done so your emails actually land.
Custom domain registered for you
Professional email at your domain
SPF, DKIM & DMARC configured properly
Connected to your mail provider of choice
06 — Monthly content
Keep showing up after launch
Once your site is live, the businesses that grow are the ones still turning up a year later — a monthly email, a fresh blog post, copy that stays current. This is a hands-off way to do that, with one month's notice to pause or stop.
One piece of content every month
Newsletter or blog post — your choice
Website copy kept up to date
No long-term contract
07 — Found by AI
Recommended when someone asks AI
More people now ask ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot "who's good for this?" instead of scrolling Google. Every site I build is AI-ready as standard — proper schema and clean structure so assistants can read you correctly (plus an llms.txt for the emerging standard), within the bounds of what any AI can be relied on to say. Want to know where you stand first? A one-off AI Visibility Audit tells you.
Schema & llms.txt built in from launch
Answer-first content AI can quote
Standalone AI Visibility Audit (£329) for any site
Honest about what's proven vs. emerging
Live work — refresh in build
Real client, not a mock-up.
An established luxury hair and beauty salon in Edinburgh and Musselburgh, in the middle of a full website refresh. The current site is live; the new build replaces it shortly. Here's what the work looks like.
A calm, confident site that matches the in-salon experience — a custom blog for hair & beauty content, individual Meet the Team profiles with per-stylist booking links, services, gallery, careers — alongside identity work to tighten the brand across signage, social and email.
A quick set of the questions that come up most often. Anything else, just drop me a message.
I already have a Wix / Squarespace / GoDaddy site. Can I just keep using that?
You can — but most of the time it's quietly costing you. Monthly platform fees stack up, the templates look like every other business in your category, and they're rarely set up well for local SEO or AI search. A custom site I build and manage for you fixes that, and you never have to open the editor again. I can take a look and tell you honestly whether a rebuild is worth it for you.
I don't have a logo or brand. Can you do that too?
Yes — branding is part of what I do. Logo, colour palette, typography and a one-page style sheet you can hand to anyone making things for you later. Especially good if you're starting fresh or relaunching after a name change. I'd usually do this as part of a website build, but it can be commissioned on its own.
I need a booking system / online shop / recruitment page. Can you build that in?
Yes. The website can include booking integrations (Fresha, Square, Calendly), a simple shop (Shopify, Stripe links), or a custom recruitment page with CV / job application forms for when you're hiring. Tell me what you need and I'll scope it into the build.
What does a typical site cost?
Every project is quoted individually based on what you need — number of pages, brand work, integrations. There's no mandatory retainer and no platform fee waiting to surprise you. Once it's live, your only ongoing cost is the domain's annual renewal, plus an optional care plan if you want me making changes. Get in touch with what you're thinking and I'll come back with an honest number, agreed before any work starts.
How long does it take?
A small one-page site is usually 2–3 weeks from brief to launch. A fuller multi-section site with branding work and email is typically 4–8 weeks. Quicker if you have content ready, longer if it's a full brand-from-scratch project. I'll give you a realistic timeline as part of the quote.
What if I need help after launch?
All builds come with tweaks until you're happy, and ongoing support after launch. For businesses that want to keep showing up — fresh blog posts, monthly newsletters, copy that stays current — there's an optional monthly content arrangement with one month's notice to pause or stop.
Where are you based? Do you only work with Edinburgh businesses?
I'm based in Edinburgh, but everything I do is remote — a call, a few emails, and I can work with any business, anywhere in the UK or further afield. You get the same person and the same attention wherever you happen to be.
One brief, one clear price, and a site that earns it.
Tell me what you do, who your customers are, and what's letting you down right now. I'll come back with honest advice and a clear quote within a day or two.
