Websites & email
that actually
bring in clients.

You're good at what you do. Really good. But the emails don't go out, the website's been "nearly ready" for months, and following up with prospects feels like one more thing on a list that never gets shorter — and it's quietly costing you clients. That's where I come in. I build websites and email for UK financial advice firms and small businesses — and I'm also the person behind WealthR, the modern client portal a lot of advice firms are starting to hear about.

For UK financial advice firms

Websites for UK
financial advice firms
built by someone who gets it.

I'm Liam Kane. Alongside LiamMail, I build WealthR — the modern client portal a lot of UK advice firms are starting to hear about. So when I build a website for your firm, I'm not guessing at your world. I already speak it: SIPPs and ISAs, ongoing service charges, MiFID II disclosures, the FCA's Consumer Duty, the awkwardness of explaining what a wrap platform actually is to a new client.

A clean, compliant, professional website. Email sequences that nurture prospects through a longer advice sales cycle. And — if it's helpful — a portal experience that ties straight through to the work I do at WealthR. One person, one bill, one phone number to call.

What I do.
Done properly.

No jargon, no contracts, no retainer you'll regret signing. The things that actually bring in customers — and keep them coming back.

Email Services
Most businesses collect email addresses and do absolutely nothing with them. I write and set up emails that go out on their own — so your customers hear from you even when you're elbow-deep in actual work.
  • Welcome sequences for new customers
  • Monthly newsletters & updates
  • Re-engagement emails for quiet contacts
  • Promotional & seasonal campaigns
  • Custom-built HTML emails — not template pickers
  • Copy written in your brand's voice & tone
  • Works with Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Brevo & more

Website Building
Not a Wix template. Not something that looks like every other small business site. A proper, fast, mobile-first website that tells people who you are and makes it dead easy to get in touch or buy.
  • One-page or full multi-section site
  • Mobile-first — your customers are on phones
  • Contact form, booking link or shop
  • Email sign-up connected from day one
  • Fast, clean code — no monthly platform fees
  • Looks professional — and turns visitors into actual customers.

🌍
Domain & Email Setup
Sending emails from a Gmail address is the online equivalent of handing out a napkin instead of a business card. A custom domain and a matching email take an hour to set up and make a real difference to how professional you look.
  • Custom domain registration & configuration
  • Professional email address setup (e.g. hello@yourbiz.com)
  • Connected to your mail provider of choice
  • Works with Brevo, Mailchimp, Klaviyo & more
  • DNS, SPF & DKIM configured so emails land in inboxes
  • No more sending from a Gmail or Hotmail address

The Full Package
Everything working together to bring in customers from day one. Your site goes live, your email list is connected, and the welcome sequence fires automatically. You brief me once, I handle the rest — and then you just get on with running your business.
  • Website built & launched
  • Email list connected at sign-up
  • Welcome sequence live from day one
  • Everything briefed, written & set up
  • You just show up and run your business
  • Ongoing support after launch

Email List Health & Compliance
Most small businesses have email lists that were put together without much thought for data protection — addresses collected on paper, via DMs, or just added manually over the years. That's a GDPR risk sitting quietly in a spreadsheet. I'll audit what you have, fix what needs fixing, and make sure your setup is genuinely compliant going forward.
  • Full audit of how addresses were collected & stored
  • Consent mechanism review — do you actually have permission?
  • List cleaning & suppression setup
  • Unsubscribe & preference centre configuration
  • Privacy policy & data handling advice
  • Platform settings reviewed (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Brevo etc.)
  • Completed formal GDPR training — not guesswork
Spotlight — Email welcome sequences

Your new customers are
slipping away quietly

Think about the last time you bought something or enquired about a service and heard nothing back. No confirmation, no follow-up, just silence. That's exactly what most of your customers experience. Not because you don't care — but because you're busy and nobody set this up. A welcome sequence runs in the background and sorts it for you.

Dead simple
from the start.

You're already busy. The last thing you need is a complicated onboarding process. Here's what working with me actually looks like.

01
Tell me what's going on
Fill in the form below — no lengthy brief, no jargon. Just tell me what you do, who your customers are, and what's not working. That's genuinely all I need to start.
02
I'll get back to you personally
Not a templated reply, not an automated response. I'll read what you've sent, have a proper think, and come back with honest advice and a clear, no-surprises quote. Usually within a day or two.
03
I do the work, you stay busy
Once you're happy to go ahead, I handle everything. You answer a few questions about your business and I take it from there — writing, designing, building, setting up.
04
It runs without you
Your emails go out on their own. Your site works while you sleep. And if things change down the line — new prices, a different offer, a fresh tone — I offer an optional 6 or 12-month refresh to keep it all current.

Simple packages.
No surprises.

Most of what I do starts as a one-off — you know exactly what you're paying before we start, and it's always a fraction of what an agency would charge. For businesses that want to keep showing up month after month, there's an ongoing option too. Not sure which fits? Just drop me a message and we'll figure it out.

Monthly
For businesses that want to keep showing up
Ongoing — cancel any time, one month's notice

Getting set up is just the start. The businesses that actually grow are the ones that stay in front of their customers consistently — a monthly email, a fresh blog post, copy that stays current. This is a hands-off way to do exactly that. You tell me what you want to focus on each month, I write it, and it goes out — so your business keeps showing up, bringing in new customers, and staying top of mind. Simple.

Let's talk →
  • One piece of content every month — your choice of a newsletter or a blog post
  • Written from scratch, in your voice, every time
  • Website copy kept up to date when things change — prices, services, offers
  • One round of amends included each month
  • Keeps your email list engaged and your Google visibility ticking over
  • Add it to any package, or pick it up after the one-off work is done
  • No long-term contract — just a month's notice to pause or stop
🔄
Optional refresh service
Things change. Prices go up, offers shift, your tone evolves. Every package comes with the option to add a 6 or 12-month refresh — I'll revisit your emails and/or site copy to keep everything current, accurate, and working as hard as it should.
🌐
Optional managed hosting
Want everything handled in one place? I can manage your domain, web hosting, and email hosting on your behalf — one monthly fee, one invoice, no juggling providers or surprise renewals. The price is agreed upfront and stays stable. You own everything; I just look after it.

first clients.

LiamMail is new — I won't pretend otherwise. What that means for you is that I'm highly motivated to do exceptional work, I'm not juggling dozens of clients, and every project gets my full attention. Hi, I'm Liam

I run LiamMail from Edinburgh, Scotland as a dedicated side venture — evenings and weekends, by design. This is craft I've been deliberately building outside of my day-to-day career, and I take every single project seriously. Every email, every site, gets the same focus and attention I'd want if it were my own business. The hours might be unconventional, but the standard of work isn't.

I kept seeing the same problem — talented people running great small businesses, losing customers not because of their service, but because nothing was happening online to keep them coming back. No follow-up emails. A website that's either non-existent or embarrassing. Small business owners work incredibly hard, and they deserve a proper online presence without being charged agency prices for it. That's why I keep my prices fair.

I've spent years working in email marketing — learning what actually gets people to open, click, and come back. That's not theory from a blog post. It's hard-won experience I bring to every project, whether that's a three-email welcome sequence or a full site build.

The questions
advice firms ask me.

If you're a UK adviser, planner or wealth manager weighing this up, these are the things prospects usually want to know before getting in touch. Anything else, just ask.

Do UK financial advice firms actually need a custom website?
Most prospects research an adviser online before they ever pick up the phone. A generic template site that looks like every other IFA's site doesn't help you stand out — and worse, it can make a six-figure prospect quietly assume you're not the firm for them. A custom website signals credibility, makes your specialisms (pensions, retirement planning, intergenerational wealth) clear, and lets you frame Consumer Duty obligations as a feature rather than fine print.
How do you keep an adviser website compliant with FCA financial promotions rules?
FCA rules require financial promotions to be clear, fair and not misleading. In practice that means no performance promises, balanced risk warnings, plain-English explanations of products like SIPPs and ISAs, and accurate fee disclosure. I write the copy with these rules in mind, and your compliance officer signs off the final wording before anything goes live. I'm not a regulated firm — your compliance accountability stays with you — but you won't have to rewrite half the site to make it pass review.
Can the website integrate with my back-office system or client portal?
Yes. The website can sit alongside a portal, share styling and login, and link cleanly into your back-office workflow. If you're using or considering WealthR (which I also build), the integration is tightest there — single sign-on, shared design language, and a consistent client experience across marketing site and portal. If you're on Intelliflo, Iress, True Potential or similar, I'll build the website to link out to them cleanly.
What does a website for a UK financial advice firm typically cost?
Fixed-price per project, agreed before work begins. A small one-page brochure site for a sole adviser sits in the low thousands; a fuller multi-page firm site with email sequences, blog and portal integration is usually in the £3k–£8k range. No retainers, no hidden costs, no surprise platform fees. Optional ongoing maintenance or content is a separate monthly arrangement with one month's notice to pause or stop.
How is this different from using Intelliflo, Iress, or a generic web designer?
Intelliflo, Iress and True Potential are back-office and client portal platforms — they're not really website builders. Generic web designers can build you a nice site, but they don't know what MiFID II, Consumer Duty or fair-balance disclosure actually mean for the copy, so you end up rewriting most of it anyway. I sit in the middle: I understand the advice business well enough to write the copy properly (because I also build WealthR for the same audience), and I build the site so it stands on its own and integrates with the portal stack you already use.
Are you regulated by the FCA?
No — I'm a web and email designer, not a regulated firm. I'll never give regulated financial advice or write copy that purports to. What I do is build the website and marketing infrastructure, write copy that respects the financial promotions rules, and route any regulated content through your compliance sign-off process. The regulatory accountability sits with your firm; the production work sits with me.

Tell me what's
going on with your business

No commitment, no sales call, no weird pressure. Just tell me what you do and what's not working — I'll come back with honest thoughts and a straight answer.

Not sure if I'm
the right fit?

Drop me a message anyway. I'll give you an honest answer — and if I genuinely don't think I can help, I'll say so. No awkward sales chat, no following up six times. Just a straight reply from a real person.
